About
Tangaroa is a 3 year old Pronavia 38 – a 38 foot Swedish designed yacht.
Unlike many cruising boats it’s designed for both competitive racing as well comfortable sailing holidays. Offering you the opportunity to experience speed combined with luxury and comfort.

Layout
Living space is plentiful with three cabins, the saloon and a galley fitted with a large sink, stove and fridge.
On deck – the well designed deck space is laid out for active sailing as well as relaxing and more social events. It’s twin wheel steering offers great training opportunities so both skipper and learner can be in control. Plus, when racing, the helm has greater flexibility and vision.
Capacity
Berths for holidays and mile building are available for 6 people (3 double cabins and the saloon). The boat accommodates up to 10 people (including a skipper) when racing.
Sails
We have separate sets of sails depending on whether we are cruising or racing.
Tangaroa Yacht Charters is managed and skippered by Geoff Poore and Jess Holley.
Our passion for sailing led us to setting up a yacht charter business which gives people the opportunity to experience all aspects of sailing – sailing holidays, yacht racing and mile building routes.

Originally from New Zealand -I learnt to sail at Murray’s Bay Sailing Club on Auckland’s North Shore.
Jess
Been sailing since a very young age – started off in small dinghy’s and later moving on to yacht racing.
We want to give everyone the opportunity to experience all the Mediterranean has to offer, whilst expanding their sailing experience.
We offer 3 types of yacht charter so, you can choose which suits you:
Our sailing holiday packages:
- You decide how much time to spend sailing and off the water
- Relax or sail as much as you want on your sailing holiday as we have two experienced sailors on-board
- Unlike flotilla holidays we cater for individuals, couples and groups of up to six so no need to organize a large party
- Charge on a per day basis offering weekend or week long sailing holidays - removing the restrictions of yacht charter time tables
- Opportunity to experience speed and comfort as our yacht Tangaroa is designed for both sailing holidays and yacht racing
