One of the most attractive and varied cruising grounds in the western Mediterranean.

What’s there

The Balearic Islands are made up of Menorca, Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

Whilst known for their party town atmosphere they also offer amazing scenery, beautiful coves, white beaches and charming fishing villages.

As these islands are so close together it’s possible to cover them all with a week long holiday – all depending on where you’d like to go and how much sailing you feel like doing.

• Exquisite bays to large cosmopolitan ports
• Sail for hours past apparently untouched  and dramatic coastline

Potential ports/ overnight stops:

There are so many ports to visit it’s hard to pick out a few – but here’s a taster of where you could sail:

• Menorca – Not as mountainous as the other islands. Puerto de Mahon is the main port with many other ports including Puerto de Ciudadela, Cabo Nati and Punta Degollador to name just a few
• Mallorca: The largest of the islands with many ports including Puerto De Palma De Mallorca, Soller, Calla and Figuera and Punta Salinas
• Formentera: Small island at the most southerly tip of Ibiza. Less developed than the other islands with one main port – Puerto de Sabina
• Ibiza: Most westerly island with 3 main harbours (Puerto de Ibiza, Puerto de San Antonio and Puerto de Sta Eulalia) and hundreds of of small anchorages around the coast

Location

The western group of islands lies less than 50 miles East of the Spanish coast.

Consists of four main islands: Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.
