Tuscan Islands

The Tuscan Islands are dotted around the sea between Italy and the north of Corsica.

Each island is apparently the mountain peak of the continent of Tyrrhenia which sank into the sea.

The group of islands consists of:

• Gorgona
• Capraia
• Elba
• Pianosa
• Montecristo
• Giglio
• Giannutri

Most of these islands are mountainous with Elba often being described as the most beautiful of all them all.

A popular cruising ground for yachts due to their charm and ease of exploring by sea. There are multiple anchorages and small marinas around each of the islands.

Getting here is simple. The nearest airport is Pisa which is served by multiple airlines throughout the UK including low cost airlines.

We will meet you at Portoferraio on Elba Island. To get here catch the Piombino- Portoferraio ferry.

The ferry is very regular running about every 30 mins in peak season.
