The Giraglia Cup is one of the most renowned distance yacht races in the Mediterranean – combining shorter in-shore races with a 243 nautical mile off-shore race from St Tropez to to the finish in San Remo.

The Rolex Middle Sea Race is a 606 nautical mile yacht race anti-clockwise around the Island of Sicily. Starting and finishing in Malta

The Middle Sea race is often mentioned in the same breath as the Rolex Fastnet – a “must do” race.

This year there will be 3 Pronavia 38s on the startline. Us (and hopefully you), Bongani also from the UK and Seawolf from Gibraltar. This will make for some fantastic yacht racing as all 3 boats are very similar.

Come and join Tangaroa’s established yacht racing crew as we take on the Giraglia Cup and Middle Sea Race. We are a fun and competitive  crew that have a good racing yacht and track record to take on what the race couse can throw at us

Included in the price of your race is

• Race entry fees
• All meals on board
• Route planning and navigation
• Pre-race planning information
• a qualified skipper and crew

You will also have use of:

• Safety gear including safety harnesses and life jackets
• Wet weather jacket and trousers (so no need to carry yours there and back)
• Fresh towels

As we are yacht racing we request that people only bring necessary clothing on-board to minimise weight and clutter during the race.

You will need to bring with you

• Sleeping bag
• Small blow up pillow
• Head torch with red filter
• Suitable footwear preferably boots as it can get cold at night
• Thermal clothing layers

Travel arrangements to and from the boat are not included

As we are sailing specialists we’re letting you take control on your plans on land and in the air.

Flights and transfers are not included however, where we can we’ll provide some local advice/ information on airport and transfer options.
